ABOUT US

There's no better backdrop to soak up the sun than the iconic West Hillandale pool.

West Hillandale Swim Club is a private, member-owned swim club located in Silver Spring, Maryland. We have a vibrant member community, known for our family-friendly atmosphere. West Hillandale offers a refreshing (and newly renovated) outdoor pool, complete with lap lanes, diving board and an extended shallow end, as well as a wading (baby) pool. The facility is located on spacious, partially wooded pool grounds that offer ample room to socialize and relax during the summer.

Two dedicated 25-yard lap lanes offer members the ability to swim laps most times that the pool is open

Two pavilions, multiple patios and picnic tables provide lots of areas for dining and socializing
Changing Rooms & Showers

Multiple private showers and changing areas as well as storage to keep personal items
Community Kitchen and Grills

Stocked with a microwave, ice machine, and wash sink, our community kitchen makes eating and cooking at the pool a breeze

The Details

A large L-shaped pool, which includes 25-meter swim lanes, a diving well and an expansive, sloping shallow end
Starting at 1 foot’ in depth, the sloping shallow end is great for younger children.
A shaded wading pool, enclosed with a fence, is perfect for small children.
12-foot deep diving well and diving board for members to practice their flips.
Two dedicated 25-yard lap lanes offer members the ability to swim laps most times that the pool is open.
Changing rooms offer multiple private showers and changing areas, as well as storage to keep personal products. Forgot something, each changing area maintains a supply of bathing products to share.
The pool grounds include a large shaded stone patio adjacent to the pool deck, which includes multiple picnic tables, a pavilion, gas and charcoal grills, and a ping pong table. A second pavilion, which overlooks the pool, provides additional seating and can be rented for private parties.

Easily refill your water bottle with cold water to stay hydrated on the hottest of days.
Need to catch up on work? WiFi is provided throughout the pool grounds.
Ample free on site parking makes bringing the family–and all the gear–very convenient.

Our season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Our Board Members

A volunteer Board of Directors is elected by membership to serve two-year terms. We hold town hall meetings with the membership and an annual meeting to elect the Board, set dues and approve budgets.
